From days to minutes: rebuilding content publishing
Turned a manual, days-long publishing process into a guided UI that takes minutes and no longer needs an engineer.
- UI/UX
- Workflow design
- Automation
The problem
Publishing new content was a manual, multi-step process. Each release took days, involved several hand-offs, and depended on an engineer to carry it out, so small mistakes were easy to make and slow to catch.
What I did
- Walked through the existing process with the people who publish content and mapped every step.
- Separated the steps that need human judgment from the repetitive ones that could be automated.
- Designed and built a UI that guides editors through publishing, with checks along the way so problems surface before anything goes live.
- Automated the remaining steps behind the scenes.
The result
- Publishing takes minutes instead of days.
- The content team publishes on its own, without waiting on engineering.
